PURPOSE:To calculate the premium in a short time when the premium rate and so on are changed, by providing storage parts where the operation program based on a prescribed calculation expression for the premium and so on and plural constants to be substituted in the calculation expression are stored respectively and by making the storage part, where these constants are stored, writable. CONSTITUTION:Premium calculator 1 is provided with switch input part 7 having ten-keys and function keys, by which the age, the sex and functions such as an insurance type are input, and operation control part 8 having the ROM where the operation program based on a prescribed calculation expression for the premium and so on is stored. Further, storage parts 9-1 and 9-2 consisting of the RAM, where plural constants which are substituted into the prescribed calculation expression and are input from the external are stored, and display control part 10 which controls display part 2 are provided. When the premium rate and so on are changed, the constant is digitized by cassette interface 12 and is stored in storage parts 9-1 and 9-2, thereby calculating the premium in a short time.
