CO BASE HEAT RESISTING ALLOY

PURPOSE:To obtain a Co base heat resisting alloy superior in high temp. oxidation resistance, high temp. strength and molten glass erosion resistance by incorporating specified quantities of C, one kind or more of Si and Mn, Cr, Ni, one kind or more of W and Mo, and Hf, Al as main constituents. CONSTITUTION:The Co base heat resisting alloy consists of 0.01-1wt% C, 0.01- 2% one kind or more of Si and Mn, 15-40% Cr, 5-35% Ni, 0.1-15% one kind or more of W and Mo, 0.01-5% Hf, 0.01-3% Al and the balance Co with inevitable impurities. If necessary, one kind or more among 0.01-5% one kind or more among Ta, Nb and Ti, 0.005-0.1% one kind or more of B and Zr, and 0.005-0.1% rare earth element are added. Said heat resisting alloy is superior especially in molten glass erosion resistance, suitable to a forming spinner of glass fiber and exhibits said superior various properties for a long period.
