METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OVEN TEMPERATURE IN CHANGING OVER KIND OF FUEL IN COKE OVEN

PURPOSE:To maintain the operation of an oven stably and obtain coke with high productivity, by changing over the operation of two groups of coke oven combustion chambers, from combustion to gas discharge alternately, changing over the kind of fuel at the same time, measuring the oven temperature at the starting point of a transient period after change-over, and controlling the flow rate of the fuel. CONSTITUTION:In a coke oven of the operation type in which plural different kinds of fuel are changed over for use, one group of many combustion chambers in the coke oven is changed over from combustion to gas discharge, and the other group is changed over from gas discharge to combustion. In the change-over time of the fuel, kinds of fuel are changed over. The starting point of a transient period after changing over the kinds of fuel is judged from signals indicating the conditions of changing over the fuel and signals indicating the kinds of fuel. The average value of measured oven temperature values within a given time before changing over the fuel at this time of judgment, and the set oven temperature value with the fuel after changing over the kinds of fuel is calculated from the average value of the oven temperature as a basis to calculate the set oven temperature in the transient period when the measured oven temperatures become the set value after a given time from the starting point of the transient period. Thus, the flow rate of the fuel for the set oven temperature is calculated to control the flow rate of the fuel and operate the coke oven.
