Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve light resistance, by blending a compd. contg. a 1-aryloxycarbonyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidyl group with a thermosetting synthetic resin paint compsn. CONSTITUTION:0.001-10pts.wt. compd. contg. a 1-aryloxy-carbonyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidyl group of the formula (wherein R1, R2 are each H, alkyl) is blended with 100pts.wt. (on a solid basis) thermosetting synthetic resin paint compsn. to improve light resistance. The compd. contg. the group of the formula can be obtd. by reacting a compd. contg. a corresponding N-unsubstituted 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidyl group with an aryl chloroformate. An example of such compd. is 1-phenoxycarbonyl-4-benzoyloxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine.
