Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:The titled composition providing a lightweight molded article having improved boiling water resistance and alkali resistance, comprising a polyester obtained by condensing a specific diol with a polybasic acid. CONSTITUTION:(A) 2,2-Diethyl-1,3-propanediol and/or 2-butyl-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol is condensed with (B) a polybasic acid to give a polyester, which is usually blended with a polymerizable monomer (e.g., styrene, etc.) and a polymerization inhibitor (e.g., hydroquinone, etc.), to give the desired composition. A combination of a saturated polybasic acid (e.g., isophthalic acid, etc.) and an unsaturated polybasic acid (e.g., fumaric acid, etc.) is preferable as the acid B.
