DETACHMENT OF SHAFT SEALING APPARATUS OF VERTICAL TYPE STIRRING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily perform the diassembling of a shaft sealing apparatus, by a method wherein an intermediate shaft is attached to the lower part of an upper shaft joint in freely detachable manner to make a drive shaft drivable and a disassembling jig is used after the intermediate shaft is detached in the detachment of the shaft sealing apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In a shaft sealing apparatus 4 connected to a stirring apparatus 2 through a lower shaft joint 21, the drive shaft 20 of the apparatus 2 is sealed at the upper surface opening of a main body 1 and, in a drive apparatus 3 supported by the upper surface of the main body 1 through a stand 5, the shaft 21 is driven through an upper shaft joint 7 interposed between the apparatus and said shaft 20. In the method for detaching the shaft sealing apparatus 4 of this vertical stirring machine, a intermediate shaft 6 is attached to the lower part of the joint 7 in a freely detachable manner to constitute a shaft 24 in a drivable manner and, in detaching the apparatus 4, disassembling jigs 11, 12 are fixed to the lower part of the jont 7 after the shaft 6 is detached and, after the apparatus 4 is hung up along with the apparatus 2, the joints 7, 21 are separated to take out the apparatus 4 to the lateral side. By this method, the disassembling, the assembling and centering adjustment of the shaft sealing apparatus can be easily performed.
