DEVICE FOR COILING WIRE MEMBER

PURPOSE:To wind up a long wire member such as, for example, an electrical cable having a flexibility but a relatively high rigidity, always in order, by coiling the wire member with the use of a wind-up device for winding a wire member in a coil-like shape. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a support shaft 1 which is retained vertically in the center of an accumulation of a wire member C to be coiled, a rotary beam 2 which is attached elevatably to the support shaft 1 and rotatably thereabout, a travelling frame 3 which is attached to the rotary beam 2 reciprocatingly movably in the longitudinal direction of the beam 2 and a take-up drive head 4 which is supported swingably to the travelling frame 3 and adapted to apply taking-up force forcibly to the wire member C. The above-mentioned travelling member 3 is suspended from the rotary beam 2, and as well is mounted with a drive motor. This drive motor is engaged with a chain 14 stretched along the rotary beam 2, and therefore, moves the travelling frame 3.
