ELECTRIC APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To improve operability and to prevent the occurrence of a transmission loss and creation of noise through absorption of the thrust play of a motor although the play is existent, by positioning the tooth end of a face gear approximately parallel to the tooth base and bringing a flat gear into engagement with the face gear. CONSTITUTION:With a motor 3 driven in rotation, an output shaft 6 is driven in rotation through a reduction gear 16, and facial treatment such as skin message is performed by rotating a rotary brush 18 of a brush attachment 22. A face gear 7 is positioned so that its axis extends approximately parallel to an output shaft 6 and tilts at an obtuse angle with a shaft 4 of the motor 3. Since the face gear 7 and a flat gear 5 are of an involute tooth shape in which a tooth end and a tooth base are positioned approximately parallel to each other, even if the flat gear 5 is displaced in the thrust direction of the motor 3 or its shaft 4 from the face gear 7, no change in an engaging condition between the face gear and the flat gear is produced, and neither transmission loss nor noise is created. Besides, precision, with which a gear mold is processed or is blocked for assembly, can be reduced compared with that of a bevel gear.
