description PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce the size of a cassette casing and increase ribbon-containing capacity, by a method wherein a ribbon to be contained is folded with a span equal to the sum of the radius of a driving roller and the radius of a driven roller, and stopper pieces are provided with guide surfaces wide opened toward the interior of a ribbon-containing chamber. CONSTITUTION:The driving roller 16 and the driven roller 17 are provided with the stopper pieces 21, 22 which are inserted into grooves 20. The stopper pieces 21, 22 release the ribbon 14 from the rollers at positions angularly deviated from the contact point (a) of the rollers 16, 17 by 90 deg.. The stopper pieces 21, 22 are integrally provided with the guide surfaces 23, 24 wide opened from the releasing points (b), (c) toward the depth of the ribbon-containing chamber 11. Therefore, the ribbon 14 is fed out in a large wave manner while being folded in a small zigzag form with a span equal to the sum of the radii of the rollers 16, 17, by the guide surface 24 when the density thereof is higher at an upper part of the interior of the chamber 11, and by the guide surface 23 when the density is higher at a lower part of the interior of the chamber 11.
