PAPER FEEDING DEVICE FOR PLATE MAKING MACHINE OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

PURPOSE:To prevent collision of a paper feeding cassette or the tip end of sensitive paper against a paper feeding roller by a method wherein the paper feeding cassette is inserted smoothly into the receiving unit of the cassette by only effecting the inserting operation of the paper feeding cassette, in the paper feeding device of the titled apparatus. CONSTITUTION:When the paper feeding cassette 2, supplemented with sensitive paper 1, is inserted into the cassette receiving unit 3, the abutting part 22 of the paper feeding cassette 2 is abutted against the tongue 15A of an operating lever 15 when the sensitive paper 1 has arrived at the lower part of the paper feeding roller 4. Thereafter, when the paper feeding cassette 2 is inserted further, the operating lever 15 is moved to the other end of reciprocating stroke against a spring. According to the movement, a roller lifting lever 18 cooperates with the operating lever 15 and descends to a position, not bothering the descending of the paper feeding roller 4, while the paper feeding roller 4 is released from the restriction of the roller lifting lever 18 and descends onto the sensitive paper 1. Thus, the paper feeding roller 4 descends after the sensitive paper 1 has arrived at the lower part of the paper feeding roller 4, therefore, the roller 4 will never collide against the cassette 2, the tip end of the sensitive paper 1 or the like.
