In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, an insulative separator 2 made of thermoplastic resin bonds the conductor bars 1 into position. The bars are themselves insulated by a synthetic resin enamel, organic insulating material or glass fibre. In a modification, (Figs. 4A, 4B, not shown), the separator 2 is notched along the top and bottom edges to facilitate the lateral transposition of the bars without deforming the adhesive tape from which the separator is made. The conductor may be used in either a dynamo-electric machine or in a transformer.
