description PURPOSE:To obtain different air-fuel ratios with the same intake air quantity by arranging multiple nozzles in series and communicating both nozzles to a Venturi section with an auxiliary passage in a variable Venturi carburetor. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle body 42 formed with the first nozzle 40 and the second nozzle 41 in series from a fixed section 35 side in sequence is inserted into a hole 39. A suction pipe 32 is formed with the first auxiliary passage 47 with its one end opened on the first fuel passage 43 and the other end opened on a Venturi section 36 and the second auxiliary passage 48 with its one end opened on the first fuel passage 43 and the other end opened on the second fuel passage 44, i.e., a fuel passage 46 upstream the second nozzle 41. A control valve 49 selectively controlling the first and second auxiliary passages 47, 48 to open or close them is arranged at the passage cross section. By selectively opening or closing the first and second auxiliary passages with the control valve 49, air-fuel ratios required for various operation conditions of an engine can be satisfied.
