description PURPOSE:To decrease time needed to assemble an organic electrolyte battery, and prevent any liquid leakage which might be caused in the initial stage by making an electrolyte poured onto a positive mixture to be rapidly absorbed by the positive mixture by making the viscosity of the electrolyte poured onto the positive mixture to be lower than that of an electrolyte poured onto either a separator or a separator and a negative agent. CONSTITUTION:An electrolyte poured onto a positive mixture 6, is prepared by dissolving a solute into a solvent which principally consists of an organic solvent with a lower viscosity. An electrolyte poured onto either a separator 5 or the separator 5 and a negative agent 4, is prepared by dissolving a solute into a solvent which principally consists of an organic solvent with a higher viscosity. As a positive active material, manganese dioxide, iron sulfide, copper sulfide, copper oxide, carbon fluoride, silver chromate or the like is used. The above positive mixture is obtained by appropriately adding a conductive auxiliary agent such as flake graphite and a binding agent such as polytetrafluoroethylene to such a positive active material as above, and subjecting thus prepared mixture to pressure molding.
