GRAB DREDGER AND MOVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE:To perform the advancement or turning of the hull of a grab dredger by a simplified method in which a grab dredger is operated by using two spuds on both sides of the hull, a spud on the rear side and the turning and winding of the grab bucket. CONSTITUTION:In a grad dredger having spuds 11L and 11R provided on both sides of almost central part of a hull 1, a spud 13 provided on the rear side of the hull 1, and a grab bucket 6 hung down from a crane provided to the turning base 3 freely rotatable in relation to the hull 1, the grab bucket 6 is landed on the bottom 22 under water, left- and right-handed spuds 11L and 11R are pulled up, the rope 15 of the grab bucket 6 is rolled in, the hull 1 is advanced. Then, the spuds 11L and 11R are lowered and landed on the bottom, correction is made for the verticality of the spud 13, the boom 4 of the crane is likewise turned through an angle, and then the hull is turned by the same procedure.
