Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain highly accurate altitude data by obtaining the distance between two points in the advancing direction. CONSTITUTION:The first picture obtained by a sensor which scans the forward area theta1 in the advancing direction of the sattelite and the second picture obtained by a sensor which scans the backward area theta2 from the advancing direction are used. The distance X1 and X2 in the advancing direction between two point P1 and P2 which are commonly located on both pictures are obtained. The altitude difference of DELTAh between the points P1 and P2 is computed by DELTAh= (x1-x2)/(tantheta1+tantheta2). Thus the altitude data is obtained.
