SEAT

PURPOSE:To adjust the height of an armrest, and to divert the seat to an auxiliary chair by projecting a strut, which can be brought down or erected, to the side from side surface of the seat and slidably fitting the armrest to the strut. CONSTITUTION:The seat consists of a seat section 1A and a reclining section 1B, a frame body 2 is mounted to one side surface of the seat section 1A, and a pivotal shaft 3 is stretched between both end plates 2A of the frame body 2. The struts 4 are set up at both end sections of the pivotal shaft 3, and the connecting shafts 5 of the struts 4 are fitted to the guide grooves 2B of the end plates 2A, and fixed at the positions of erection by means of stoppers 6. The armrest 10 with inserting pipes 10A is fitted to the struts 4, and the height of the armrest 10 is adjusted by the notches 4A of the struts 4 and a stopper 12 in a lateral hole 10B communicated with the inserting pipe 10A of the armrest 10. When the armrest 10 is brought down to the side, on the other hand, the connecting shafts 5 of the struts 4 are moved along the guide grooves 2B of the end plates 2A, and the armrest 10 is used as the auxiliary chair as shown in dotted lines.
