description PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect engine rotation without increasing the height of a distributer by obtaining the ignition timing of an electronic fuel injection system from the output of a rotary angle detection unit of a weight base for a centrifugal type advance angle unit. CONSTITUTION:A movable base 5, connected to a negative pressure responding unit 2, is mounted in a distributer housing. On the movable base 5 are fixed a magnet 6 and a stator core 7. When the clearance between the core 7 and a reactor 13 varies due to engine rotation, a signal voltage is generated in a detection coil 8 and an injection timing control unit 9 operates, thereby determining ignition timing. A detection unit 17, comprising a core 171, a magnet 172, a core 173, and a detection coil 174, is installed at a position which faces a weight base 14 integrated with a shaft 11. The detection unit 17 detects the rotary angle by means of the convex portion of the weight base 14. This signal is used to determine fuel injection timing. Therefore, if a distributer is built-in after adjusting the ignition timing in relation to the reference cylinder, the fuel injection timing can be also automatically set.
