Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To raise resistance of a magnetic layer against abrasion, solvents, a combination of moisture and heat, etc., and to enhance durability of the magnetic recording medium, by adding a thermoplastic polyurethane resin having 15,000-45,000 average mol.wt., and further when needed, low mol.wt. polyisocyanate having at least 2 isocyanate groups. CONSTITUTION:Polyester diol, 100pts.wt. made from adipic acid, 1,6-hexandiole, and 2,2-dimethylpropandiole-1,3 having 1,000mol.wt. 60/40mol ratio of said hexandiole/propandiole and 112 OH value; 4.5pts.wt. 1,4-butandiole, and 0.01pt.wt. dibutyl-tin-laurate are mixed, and then 37pts.wt. diphenylmethanediisocyanate is added. Before mixing these components the mixture of polyols and diisocyanate are heated to 90 deg.C and 40 deg.C, respectively. When diisocyanate is added to the mixture of polyoles, they are mechanically mixed for about 1min to achieve sufficient contact among respective components, the reaction mixture is poured into a vat heated to 120 deg.C, left still for 1hr, and further, at 100 deg.C for 20hr to complete the reaction. The thermoplastic polyurethane resin is thus prepared. |
