description PURPOSE:To obtain a water depth detecting device of an electronic wrist watch which satisfies such conditions as it is small-sized, low in its power, capable of executing a digital processing, and low in its cost, by providing an LCR oscillator containing the inductance of a water depth detecting sensor. CONSTITUTION:An oscillator 19 is an LCR oscillator containing the inductance of a water depth detecting sensor whose inductance is varied in accordance with a variation of the depth of water (water pressure), and 20 is a sampling part and counts oscillation frequency of the LCR oscillator for some specified time in accordance with a reference signal in the clock circuit. 21 is a decoder, processes contents of sampling by a signal and connects them to a water depth display 22. According to this circuit constitution, a variation of the depth of water (water pressure) appears as a variation of the LCR oscillation frequency, and when this oscillation frequency is processed by a digital signal, it can be connected to the water depth display. Also, the LCR oscillator can be driven by low voltage and current consumption is also small.
