CONSTITUTION:Material 2 from a hopper 4 starts to collect in a material receptacle 8 and a balancing rod 9 taps a limit switch 12, when the equilibrium between the side of the receptacle 8 and the side of a weight 11 is broken down. When the balancing rod 9 is tilted, the material 2 gets spilt into a hopper 4, the rod 9 regains equilibrium, and when the material 2 is kept running without clogging the passage, the rod 9 repeats its horizontal and tilting posture. When the pulse interval between reset signals outputted from the limit switch 12 changes, showing that clogging is gradually initiated, on the basis of flow rate of the material 2, the pulse intervals grow longer, and the flow rate of the material 2 is monitored by means of cooperated action of time limiting relays TRY1 and TRY2 in a ditecting circuit 13.
