Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enable the determination of polyamine also usable for clinical test, by using polyamine oxidase M. CONSTITUTION:A fungus such as Penicillium sp. No. PO-1 (FERM-P 5685) belonging to the genus Penicillium, capable of producing polyamine oxidase M, is aerobically cultivated to give polyamine oxidase, which is treated with a specimen containing a polyamine such as spermidine, spermine, acetylspermidine, acetylspermine, etc. The amount of oxygen consumed in the treatment or the amount of hydrogen peroxide formed is determined by a conventional procedure.
