THERMODEVELOPABLE PHOTOSENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermodevelopable photosensitive material improved in thermal fog, and spectrally sensitized to an IF region, by forming a layer contg. an org. silver salt, photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a binder, and a specified dye. CONSTITUTION:At least one layer formed on a support contains (a) an org. silver salt, (b) a catalytic amt. of photosensitive silver halide, or a compd. reacting with the org. silver salt (a) and forming a photosensitive silver halide, (c) a reducing agent, (d) a binder, and (e) one of dyes represented by formulae I-VIII where R1, R2 are each alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, or the like; Z1, Z2 are each an atomic group needed to complete a 5- or 6-membered hetero ring; X is an anion; when R1 and/or R2 contains an anion, there is no X; M is a cation; and R3, R4 are each alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl, or the like.
