CASTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a casting device which prevents the inclusion of molten metal in dies, and obviates the generation of structural defects occuring in the generation of oxide, gases, etc. by constituting the device in such a way that the dies are tilted gently after molten metal is charged into the dies wherein a movable die is mated with a stationary die. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of casting a casting, a cylinder 13 is operated and extends a cylinder shaft to move movable die 9 mounted to a die mounting plate 10 and to mate the die 9 with a stationary die 8. A cylinder 13 is thereafter operated to extend a cylinder shaft 4, thereby rotating a subframe 5 around a shaft 6. The rotation is stopped in an upright position. Since a pouring cup 18 for molten metal is positioned horizontally in the upright position of the frame 5, molten metal is charged into the cup 18. When the shaft 4 is shortened gradually, the frame 5 tilts; therefore, the molten metal in the cup 18 is charged gently into the dies formed between the die 8 and the die 9. When the cylinder 3 is stopped in the position where the frame 5 is horizontal, the die 8 and the die 9 are positioned upright, and the molten metal is packed thoroughly into the dies.
