description PURPOSE:To obtain a cooled pulverized solid material while suppressing a temperature drop within a furnace attendant upon cooling operation, by providing a water-cooled jacket adapted to receive a molten material flowed thereto from a take-out passage after treatment, and also by providing a storage section adapted to crystallize a cooled material by means of a waste gas supplied from the take-out passage. CONSTITUTION:A material charged from a storage section 1 for treatment is dispersed by a rotary movement of a lower portion 2b of an outer circumferential wall 2 relative to an upper portion 2a thereof, and allowed to fall under gravity along an annular feeding way R. The annular feeding way R has a melting chamber 3 connected thereto, a take-out passage 4 centrally provided at a basement thereof and a secondary combustion chamber 6 provided so as to communicate with the take-out passage 4. The take-out passage 4 is provided at a lower portion thereof with a water-cooled jacket 11 adapted to receive, quench and solidify a molten material in a pulverized state after treatment. The water-cooled jacket 11 is communicated with a treatment material storage section 12 wherein a cooled material is fed by a pusher 13 after treatment from the water-cooled jacket 11, and crystalized by reheating thereof with a hot gas exhausted from a flue 7.
