POLARIZED ELECTROMAGNET

PURPOSE:To obtain an electromagnet of a stable attraction characteristics by a method wherein a flat-plated iron core and a yoke are fixed with intermediaries of permanent magnets of different polarities which are placed at both ends thereof and by a thin-plated armature which has a hinged part at the center inserted into a space in a generated magnetic path, thereby forming a polarized electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:A flat-plated iron core 10 which has a coil 11 wound on it is faced against a flat-plated yoke 12 as well, and by permanent magnets 13 and 14 which have individually diffent polarity fixed at both ends of them, a closed magnetic circuit is constructed. Next a thin-plated amature 15 is inserted into a space in the closed magnetic circuit, but a hinged part 15a which contacts with the yoke 12 is provided at the center of the armature 15, and the armature 15 is built so as to work a seesaw-movement around it. By this constitution nearly twice stroke as large as the height H of the hinged part 15a is obtained. Consequently a swinging pivot of the armature 15 and an attraction surface of the yoke are built in a same plane, and the stroke of the armature 15 is made dependent solely on the height of the hinged part 15a.
