CONSTITUTION:The condition of gravity discharging of the heat transfer medium 5 from the heat transfer medium piping in order to prevent the collector from being damaged with freezing in winter is that the centers A and D of the heat transfer medium pipes 3, which is adjacent with each other while arranging within individual but adjoining transparent outer pipes 1a and 1b as illustrated in the attached drawing, lie at equal distance from a floor 8 or the center D lies far than the center A from the floor 8. Because the pitch x between the heat transfer medium pipes in an outer pipe 1 in subject collector is set so as to meet said condition under the consideration of the angle theta1 of a mounting stand for installation of the collector and of the angle theta2 of the heat collecting plate 2 in the outer pipe 1 to the floor 8, the lower side heat transfer medium pipe 3 in each outer pipe 1 is rendered to be higher than the upper side heat transfer medium pipe 3 in adjoining outer pipe 1 and the natural flowing-down type discharging of the heat transfer medium 5 is possible.
