description PURPOSE:To obtain a protruded indication on the surface of a metallic label with rapidity and accuracy by stamping a required mark at a time, by pressing a metallic label against type by a pressing piece through a rubber layer. CONSTITUTION:A label 30 is advanced to a stamping position A through a label conveying passage 6, and when a command signal which is required for stamping is transmitted to step motor 5 for each column through a control section, required types are lined up in stamping positions on all the printing wheels 10. A pressing piece 21 is advanced toward the types in the stamping position, and the label 30 is strongly pressed against the column of types through a type supporting belt (rubber plate) 25. The layer of the rubber plate 25 acts as a female die, and projecting parts of the types cut into the layer of the rubber plate 25 while squashing the metallic layer partly, and when the pressing piece 21 is retracted, a projection corresponding to the type is formed on the surface of the lable 30. And therefore, it is possible to make an embossed indication with accuracy without causing an abnormal deformation to the entire section of the label 30.
