INPUT DEVICE FOR MULTI-ITEM INFORMATION

PURPOSE:To enable to output the position information without any effect from other electrodes, by forming an X axis group with many numbers provided almost in parallel, a Y axis group with many numbers provided almost in parallel crossing the X axis group, and shielded electrodes on the same plane, in an input tablet of an electrostatic coupling system. CONSTITUTION:An input tablet of an electrostatic coupling system used as a multi- item information input device provides conductors of X axis groups 4-1, 4-2... where a scanning signal is applied sequentially and a number of conductors are provided almost in parallel. They are formed on the same plane as conductors of Y axis groups 5-1, 5-2... to which scanning signals are sequentially applied and where they are provided almost in parallel, and the planes other than the X and Y axes groups are taken as a shielded electrode 6, and is formed on the same plane as those of the X and Y axis group. The connection of the Y axis groups 5-1, 5-2 is made on a lower plane 9 through a through-hole 7.
