This molten steel is charged together with a flux contg. metallic Al through an immersion nozzle into a mold for casting of &lt;=1.5 flatness ratio and the molten steel in the mold is agitated electromagnetically by a constant magnetic force. As a result, deoxidation is intensified and accelerated by the c, Mn and Al that the molten steel per se possesses, and rotating forces are given to the oxide and foam formed in the mold, whereby the flocculation to a solidified shell is suppressed. In this state, the molten steel is drawn out continuously downward and is solidified, whereby the intended weakly deoxidized steel is produced.</description><language>eng</language><subject>CASTING ; CASTING OF METALS ; CASTING OF OTHER SUBSTANCES BY THE SAME PROCESSES OR DEVICES ; CHEMISTRY ; METALLURGY ; METALLURGY OF IRON ; PERFORMING OPERATIONS ; POWDER METALLURGY ; PROCESSING OF PIG-IRON, e.g. REFINING, MANUFACTURE OFWROUGHT-IRON OR STEEL ; TRANSPORTING ; TREATMENT IN MOLTEN STATE OF FERROUS ALLOYS</subject><creationdate>1982</creationdate><oa>free_for_read</oa><woscitedreferencessubscribed>false</woscitedreferencessubscribed></display><links><openurl>$$Topenurl_article</openurl><openurlfulltext>$$Topenurlfull_article</openurlfulltext><thumbnail>$$Tsyndetics_thumb_exl</thumbnail><linktohtml>$$Uhttps://worldwide.espacenet.com/publicationDetails/biblio?FT=D&amp;date=19821207&amp;DB=EPODOC&amp;CC=JP&amp;NR=S57199545A$$EHTML$$P50$$Gepo$$Hfree_for_read</linktohtml><link.rule.ids>230,308,776,881,25542,76290</link.rule.ids><linktorsrc>$$Uhttps://worldwide.espacenet.com/publicationDetails/biblio?FT=D&amp;date=19821207&amp;DB=EPODOC&amp;CC=JP&amp;NR=S57199545A$$EView_record_in_European_Patent_Office$$FView_record_in_$$GEuropean_Patent_Office$$Hfree_for_read</linktorsrc></links><search><creatorcontrib>SUZUKI YASUO</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>YOKOYAMA HIDEKI</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>NOZAKI TERUHIKO</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>ISHIDA YASUMASA</creatorcontrib><creatorcontrib>EBATO KOUICHI</creatorcontrib><title>PRODUCTION OF WEAKLY DEOXIDIZED STEEL BY CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD</title><description>PURPOSE:To obtain weakly deoxidized steel of superior surface quality and workability such as the suitability, to cold forging by charging the molten steel of respectively specified contents of C, Si, Al and free oxygen together with a metallic Al-contg. flux into a mold for casting, and drawing out the steel continuously under electromagnetic induction agitation.
