DEVICE FOR HORIZONTAL ROTATION OF WORK

PURPOSE:To rotate a work horizontally by a simple mechanism which does not require a wide operation range, by providing a supporting plate for lifting the work from below, on the tips of a pair of parallel arms connected to a parallel link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Supporting plates 3, 4 which are moved up and down by oil pressure cylinders 5, 6, respectively, are provided on the tips of a pair of parallel arms 1, 2 connected to parallel links 8, 9 having supporting point shafts 12, 13. A work W placed on a receiving base A is lifted from below by the supporting plates 3, 4 by expanding a plunger of the oil pressure cylinders 5, 6. Subsequently, as for said arms 1, 2, the arm 1 is made to go backward and the arm 2 is made to go forward by an equal distance (l), respectively, by operating an oil pressure cylinder 7 and moving the links 8, 9 in the direction as indicated with an arrow, and after that, the supporting plates 3, 4 are lowered, and the work W is put down on the receiving base A. The work W centers around an axis O and is rotated horizontally at that position by repeating said operation.
