description PURPOSE:To prevent wire rod from protruding by a method wherein a sail having a cross-sectional shape to secure the degree of roundness of the inside periphery of a coil is bisected after bundling the coil, and one is used for bundling the next ring-shaped wire rod, while the other is used for moving the coil. CONSTITUTION:After bundling the ring-shaped wire rod 1 on a cross-shaped sail 7, the sail 7 is split into a T-shaped sail 16 and an I-shaped sail 17. The T- shaped sail 16 is lowered to a position right below a coil plate 8 by a hydraulic cylinder 10 (provided at a lower part of the sail 16) and a guide roll 13 provided at a side wall of the sail 16. Then, the I-shaped sail 17 is transferred from the interior of a bundling tub 6 into a down ender 14 by a traverse hydraulic cylinder 11 and a guide roll 12. During the transfer of the coil 9, the sail 16 is moved upwards and starts bundling the next ring-shaped wire rod.
