When the coil strip quantity within a roll-out machine 1 reaches a value right before its end, the preceding strip 15 is divided by a shearing machine 8 and by the signal of a detector. The tail end of the strip 15 moves up to the position of a connector 9 and stops there. After this, the table 7 moves up to send the following strip 15' up to the position of the connector 9. Thus the strip 15' overlaps the tail end of the strip 15. The ends of both strips 15 and 15' are connected together to immediately start the working.
