ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH TERMINAL POSITION SECURING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector with a small terminal position securing device that can prevent a contact supporting arm from being broken. SOLUTION: A terminal position securing device 50 includes a lock part 56 that is placed, when received by an electrical connector 10 completely, behind a supporting arm 30 used to support a contact and prevents its flexure. At the receiving end of the lock part 56, a shoulder 54 that stretches in a direction perpendicular to the lock part 56 and a wall 52 projecting from the shoulder 54 are formed. The wall 52 is so formed as to be able to come into contact with toe supporting arm 30, when the terminal position securing device 50 is placed at an interim latching position and thereby, excessive deflection of the supporting arm 30 is prevented.
