Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a three-dimensional(3D) image in real time with respect to an arbitrary area in a two-dimensional(2D) image by preparing the 3D image in the fixed area based on respective data successively deflected and acquired at respective positions within a fixed narrow range orthogonal to a scanning direction. SOLUTION: When the top end position of a puncture needle in a 2D tomographic image displayed on a display part 3 is an inspected position and it is desired to watch the display of the 3D image in the fixed area with that position as a center, an instruction is performed from an input part 4. Then, an orthogonal scanning means 11 of an ultrasonic probe 1 is driven under the control of a control part 25 (or while directly operating the ultrasonic probe 1), an ultrasonic transducer is successively deflected at a fine angle orthogonally with the top end of the puncture needle as a center and for each angle, 2D operation within the fixed range is performed by the ultrasonic transducer while using a 1st transmitter 23 and a 2nd transmitter 24. The received signal of each ultrasonic signal provided at such a time is input to a 3D image constructing part 28 and 3D image processing is performed.
