PAPER SHEET PRESSURIZING FORCE ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet pressurizing force adjusting device for a printer capable of adjusting, based on the thickness of paper sheet, the pressurizing force with respect to the paper sheet being feed between a transferring roller and a pressure roller. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a pressure roller 28 provided opposite to a transferring roller 25 so as to allow paper sheet 27 to be feed there- between, a guide roller 26 feeding the paper sheet 27 between the transferring roller 25 and pressure roller 28, a pressure sensing unit 40 sensing a pressure change depending on the change of thickness of the paper sheet 27 feed between the guide roller 26, and a pressure changing unit 30 controlling the pressurizing force of the pressure roller 28 with respect to the paper sheet 27 by moving the pressure roller 28 in vertical direction against the transferring roller 25. In such a manner, the pressurizing force with respect to the paper sheet 27 can be appropriately adjusted by controlling the shift of the pressure roller 28, therefore the printing quality can be improved by smoothing the operation of the transferring roller 25 and a photosensitive belt 22.
