description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent crazing, cracking, warping, etc., at the time of drying and to shorten a drying time. SOLUTION: Shaped clay moldings 10 are placed in an atmosphere in which humidity 20 to 80% and temp., 45 to 70 deg.C are maintained. The constitution provided with a case 1 which covers the shaped clay moldings 10 in a contactless state, an opening means 6 which ventilates the case 1 by properly opening the case, loading sections 2 which are horizontally disposed in the case 1, allow the placement of the clay moldings 10 and are formed as a ventilating structure and draining structure and a heating means 3 which heats the inside of the case 1 is adapted in order to placing the molding described above. As a result, the entire part of the surfaces of the clay moldings 10 is covered with misty fine water drops and the entire part of the clay moldings 10 is evenly and simultaneously dried, by which the crazing, cracking, warping, etc., at the time of drying are prevented. Further, the migration of the moisture in the clay is rapidly effected and, therefore, the drying time is shortened.
