description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability on the occasion of maintenance to solve a paper jam, etc., by providing a pressure cam which presses a head block to a predetermined point of a head unit-supporting plate at an open position of a cover member in association with an open-close operation of the cover member, thereby separating the head block from a platen roller. SOLUTION: In order to solve a jam of a printing paper 30 brought about during a printing operation, a cover member 130 is rotated in an arrow direction, whereby a supporting shaft 140 set to a sleeve interlocking with the rotation of an arm 131 of the cover member 130 is rotated in the same direction. As a result, a cam face 144 of a pressure cam 141 on the supporting shaft 140 presses a bend element part 162 at an upper end part of a head unit- supporting arm 160 downward. The head unit-supporting arm 160 consequently is rotated in the counterclockwise direction at a fulcrum of a head block- supporting shaft 150, and a head block 180 mounted at the side of a front face of the head unit-supporting plate 163 is separated from a platen roller 193. The paper jam can be solved simply.
