Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce current consumption of an integrated circuit during standby in an internal voltage dropping circuit of a semiconductor integrated circuit. SOLUTION: When an integrated circuit is made a standby state and a non- power down mode, a control signal ACT of 'L' level is given, an internal voltage dropping circuit A is inactivated, dropped voltage VINT is supplied to a first stage circuit 2 from internal voltage dropping circuits B1-B3. Also, when the integrated circuit is made a power down mode, the signal ACT of 'L' level, a power down signal PWDNB are given, internal voltage dropping circuit A, B1 are inactivated, the signal VINT is supplied from internal voltage dropping circuit B2, B3. Also, when the integrated circuit is made a self-refresh mode, the signal ACT of 'L' level, PWDNB, a self-refresh signal SRSB are given, internal voltage dropping circuits A, B1, B2 are inactivated, voltage VINT is supplied from the internal voltage dropping circuit B3.
