Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain large consumption of a car-mounted battery, by reducing power, consumed in an electric compressor when a cooling load in a refrigerating cycle is a specified value or more. SOLUTION: In this device, an air conditioner ECU 7 is constituted of: a target capacity operating means 44 for operating target cooling capacity in a refrigerating cycle 20 is accordance with the cooling condition of an air conditioning unit 6, that is, the air cooling degree of an evaporator 21 (target temperature after evaporation), a target capacity limiting means 45 for limiting target capacity to a specified value (e.g. the lower limit value for the target temperature) in accordance with the cooling condition of the air conditioning unit 6, and a rotation speed controlling means 43 for controlling the rotation speed of a compressor 23 from the output of the target capacity operating means 44 and that of the target capacity limiting means 45. Consequently, the rotation speed of the compressor 23 can be limited low when the cooling load is large, thereby saving power.
