description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an impingement of air conditioned air lump against a person in a room by diffusing the air from an air conditioner body from an air outlet to become a film-like state, thereby obviating uneven right and left side temperatures of the room. SOLUTION: An air outlet made of slits of a horizontal chamber 11 rotatably supported to an upper part of a room is directed slightly upward from a forward horizontal direction to diffuse a cold air 29 at the time of cooling and hence the air 29 becomes a film-like state brought into contact with a ceiling. The air 29 which comes into contact with the ceiling is descended by an operation of a buoyancy difference. An air outlet of a chamber 22 is directed and set slightly forward from a vertical direction, and a warm air is diffused in such a set state. This warm air is descended, and then raised by a buoyancy difference. Since these air currents after the diffusing flow along a plane and adhere by an air conditioning effect, the conditioned air can be circulated evenly at right and left sides in the overall room. Thus, an unevenness of room temperatures is eliminated.
