description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow stator blade made by precision casting for use in the final stage of a steam turbine, with which the drain retrieving efficiency is enhanced. SOLUTION: In a stator blade 1, cavities 4 and 5 penetrating from the outer shroud 2 to inner shroud 3 are independently provided in such a way as partitioned by a rib 6. On the belly side of the blade obverse surface, a plurality of belly side slits 10-20 are parallel provided linearly at a certain spacing. Also on the back side, back side slits 21-26 are provided linearly at a certain spacing. The drain on the blade obverse surface intrudes into the independent cavities 4 and 5 from the belly side slits 10-20 and back side slits 21-26 and flows out from the outer shroud 2 or inner shroud 3 as shown by 40-43 to be retrieved. According to this configuration in which partitioning is made by rib 6 into two cavities, counterflowing to outside can be precluded, different from a conventional arrangement equipped with a single cavity.
