Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light controller capable of enhancing contrast ratio and keeping the quantity of light constant. SOLUTION: This light controller consists of a GH cell 12 and a polarizing plate 11a. The polarizing plate 11a is stuck onto an iris blade 18, and can take in and out of an effective optical path of the light made incident on the GH cell 12. When the iris blades 18 and 19 are driven by an unshown motor and overlap each other, the polarizing plate 11a enters the effective optical path 20 and covers an opening 22. Further, when a photographic object is increased in brightness, the GH cell 12 absorbs light for dimmer. Since the polarizing plate 11a can be taken outside of the effective optical path 20 of the light, the light is not absorbed by the polarizing plate 11a, and as a result, thereby enhancing the maximum transmittance of the light controller. |
