Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a physical space occupied by a power take-off unit and its driven attachment, and increase flexibility for positioning the driven attachment device with respect to the power take-off unit. SOLUTION: The input shaft 23 of a power take-off unit 10 is supported by a housing 20, and supports an input gear 25 suitable to be rotatably driven by means of an engine, a speed change gear or other rotation energy. An idler shaft 33 is supported by the housing 10, and supports an idler 35 to be meshed with an input gear 25. The first and second end parts of an output shaft 46 are supported by a side wall 20e which is integrally formed with the housing 20 in such a way as to be drawn inwrad, and a bearing cap 43 fixed to the second side wall of the housing 20 respectively. A clutch assembly 50 is provided, which permits the idler gear 35 to be selectively connected with the output shaft. A mounting flange 51 is formed around the side wall 20e so as to allow a driven attachment to be directly mounted on the housing with ease. An annular stepped dent 55 is provided in such a way that the input shaft of the driven attachment shall be surely coaxial with the output shaft 46. |
