description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing highly white waste paper pulp by further bleaching deinked pulp obtained from printed waste paper, especially waste news paper, capable of reducing a drainage load in the bleaching process and further capable of being added to new pulp at a high rate corresponding to the increase in the use of the reclaimed paper. SOLUTION: This method for producing highly white waste paper pulp comprises deinking printed waste paper and further bleaching the obtained deinked waste paper pulp. Therein, the waste paper pulp is dehydrated, mixed and soaked in hydrogen peroxide as an oxidation type bleaching agent in a pulp concentration of >=25% at the ordinary temperature to an enhanced temperature, and further bleached with formamidine sulphinic acid as a reduction type bleaching agent in a pulp concentration of 8-20% at a temperature of 50-100 deg.C for 10-90 min.
