Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a fence portion at the desired position of a bed by changing and adjusting the interval between the mounting legs of an insertion type side fence, and enhancing the degree of freedom regarding the installation of the insertion type side fence. SOLUTION: Of the first and second mounting leg portions 18, 19 of an insertion type side fence 13, the second mounting leg portion 19 is provided with an insertion position changing mechanism 21 which changes and adjusts the interval between the first and second mounting leg portions 18, 19 by rotating an end portion to the first mounting leg portion 18, the end portion being the portion inserted into a mounting hole 12. By changing the interval between the first and second mounting leg portions 18, 19, the end portion can be mounted in the mounting hole 12 in a side frame 11 at the head or foot side of a bed 10. Also, a fence portion 20 can be mounted also in the cut portion of the side frame 11 which is located at the center of the bed 10.
