description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital fault locator in which an arbitrary located value can be operated again from a specified number of location results while enhancing the reliability by providing means for extending a data save memory and accessing a CPU so that a located value can be operated again and rewritten arbitrarily. SOLUTION: In reoperation, the inventive system can reads an arbitrary data from a data save memory 1' storing fault location data from the previous time to n times before. If the previously inputted set values required for location operation is incorrect or modified, the location operation can be carried out more correctly by modifying the set values. The reoperated results are rewritten again in the data save memory. Error suppressed operation results are obtained by inputting a correct system data in a system failure and since incorrect operation results are not left, reliability of fault location is enhanced and a fault is recovered quickly.
