ELECTRONIC CASH REGISTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic cash register capable of constructing a menu by selecting food materials corresponding to the needs of customers. SOLUTION: This cash register executes the sales register of a menu through the use of a product (PLU)(price lock up) file 44. When a menu is designated in order to confirm the food materials, a food material number and its quantity are read out from a recipe file 45 and the name of the food material is read out from a food material file 42, thereby the food material is confirmed. Further, it is possible to delete and change the food material, to select a food material corresponding to the needs of customers and to easily and speedily construct such a menu. It is possible to delete or change only specific food materials, but a main food material which should not be deleted or changed is prevented from being erroniously deleted or changed. In addition, it is possible to output food materials which are not suited to eat due to the physical constitution of a customer or sickness based on a food material sorting file 43. Changed food materials are totaled in a deletion and change totalling file 46 to be outputted.
