The generation device calculates the specific coordinates included in a three-dimensional model that is projected into an optional pixel contained in an image of the camera 3 based on the position and the picture angle information of the camera 3 and also on the inputted three-dimensional shape and layout data. Then the generation device calculates a specific pixel of the camera 24 where the coordinates included in the three-dimensional model are projected. By means of such a coordinate transformation processing, a key signal of a shadow which follows an object and has no three-dimensional conflict is produced and the conversion processing is carried out so as to secure the position and shape of the shadow to be added. Thus, a shadow key signal is produces and inputted to a compositing device 9.
