Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a highly accurate cutting plan with respect to the steel which is rolled with a rolling mill without increasing the load on a process control computer. SOLUTION: Measuring sensors 10, 16 for measuring the length of the steel which is outputted from the rolling mill and a minicomputer 15 for preparing the cutting plan consisting of the necessary number M of the steel, cutting positions X1 , X2 ... of each steel, cutting order or the like using the linear programming based on the order and the length of the steel which are inputted from the process control computer 12 are provided. With the process control computer, the order which is inputted from the outside and the length of the steel which is measured with the measuring sensors are sent out to the minicomputer 15 and the cutting plan which is prepared with this minicomputer 15 is sent out to a cutting device 6.
