Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cut-off material which has high cut-off properties and can maintain its effect over a long period, and a method using the material. SOLUTION: This water cut-off method is provided with the formation of wedge-shaped notch parts 12, 13 at both ends of a band-shaped body constituted of a porous material, winding a water cut-off belt 11 impregnated with mixture of hydrophilic polymer-hardened liquid type water cut-off agent and fine-grain cement around the notch parts, inserting water cut-off string impregnated with mixture of hydrophilic polymer-hardened liquid type water cut-off agent and fine-grain cement into the stranded central part of a plurality of linear bodies, and pushing it into a conduit opening.
